You will be greeted by our local tour guide at the arrival hall of Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport and then taken to your downtown hotel in a private, comfortable vehicle. The remainder of the day is yours to unwind and relax.

DAY 2 Zhangjiajie

Today, after breakfast, you will explore Zhangjiajie National Forest Park for more highlights. Begin by boarding a sightseeing bus to experience the Bailong Elevator, the world's fastest and tallest outdoor elevator. Enjoy a thrilling 1.5-minute ascent from the valley bottom to the pillar peak. Next, hike through the stunning erupting stone columns of Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, entering the enchanting "Pandora World". Along the hike, marvel at the 150-meter-high South Sky Pillar, the real-life inspiration for the "Avatar Hallelujah Mountain". Admire the picturesque scenery at Enchanting Platform, with numerous stone peaks resembling bamboo shoots. Witness the natural wonder of the First Bridge of the World, a 5-meter-long stone platform connecting two peaks.
Continue your journey by sightseeing bus to Tianzi Mountain. Visit He Long Park for a close-up view of the incredible stone peaks. Capture stunning images of the four wonders of Tianzi Mountain, including misty clouds, moonlit nights, sunbeams, and snowy winters. Proceed to Tianzi Pavilion for a magnificent view of Xihai Peak Forest from a different perspective. Descend via the Tianzi Mountain Cable Car, passing rockery hills outside your window, and then explore the renowned Golden Whip Stream. This 7.5-kilometer-long stream offers picturesque scenery with colorful flowers, lush vegetation, and encounters with wild monkeys. Conclude the day with a stroll through the dreamlike Ten-mile Natural Gallery. Optionally, enjoy a mini-train ride (round trip CNY 76 per person).

DAY 3 Zhangjiajie

This morning, you will be transferred to Baofeng Lake for a delightful cruise. Surrounded by picturesque mountains, this lake is known as the "Classic Lake of the World." It is a natural scenic area that combines stunning landscapes, cultural traditions, and folklore. Designated as a World Natural Heritage Site and a Global Geopark, Baofeng Lake offers a unique experience. During the cruise, your tour guide will introduce you to the local Tujia Love's Song and you may spot some water birds in the lake.
Following the leisurely cruise, get ready for an exciting adventure at Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. Brace yourself for an exhilarating experience as you walk on the transparent Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge, the world's longest and highest glass-bottomed bridge at 430 meters long and 400 meters above the deep valley. After this thrilling walk, descend to the valley floor via elevators and enjoy the Nuokeli Slideway. Take in the breathtaking natural scenery of the lush forest, emerald lake, and diverse vegetation at Rainbow Square, Momo Cave, the Holy Spring Lake, and more.

DAY 4 Zhangjiajie/Fenghuang
Activities for today: Tianmen Mountain, Fenghuang Ancient Town
After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel for an exciting day trip to Tianmen Mountain, a stunning national forest park in Zhangjiajie City.
Begin by taking the Tianmen Mountain Cable Car, ascending over 1,400 meters above sea level from downtown Zhangjiajie to the mountain peak. Enjoy the ride on the world's longest cableway, spanning about 7,455 meters, offering breathtaking views of the Avenue toward Heaven through a glass floor. Visit Tianmen Temple, dating back to the Tang Dynasty, one of only five Buddhist temples worldwide preserving Buddha's body relics. Explore the temple complex, featuring Qing Dynasty-style Buddhist architecture surrounded by lush forests.
Experience two thrilling cliffside walks: the 60-meter-long Glass Skywalk, suspended 1,430 meters above the valley, and the 1,600-meter-long Ghost-Valley Plank Road. Descend to Tianmen Cave via escalator, a natural wonder towering 131.5 meters high, 57 meters wide, and 60 meters deep. Descend the super steep 999 steps, with an incline of up to 45°, to reach Tianmen Cave, a site of worship. Conclude the visit with a cable car ride down the mountain.
Note: The Ghost-Valley Plank Road and Tianmen Cave may close in winter due to heavy snow, freezing weather, or maintenance. Your guide will adjust the itinerary accordingly.
After exploring Tianmen Mountain, your guide and driver will accompany you to Fenghuang Ancient Town, located approximately 200 kilometers from Zhangjiajie, a 3.5-hour drive away. Upon arrival, your guide will assist with hotel check-in. As night falls, the town's old houses light up, creating a festive and colorful atmosphere. Take a leisurely stroll and admire the enchanting night views of this ancient town.

This morning, you will enjoy a delightful tour of Fenghuang Ancient Town, boasting a history of over 300 years. Situated on the western edge of Hunan Province near Guizhou Province, it is hailed as China's most picturesque small town, offering a glimpse into pre-modernization village life. Wander through the town's cobblestone lanes flanked by stilted wooden houses, each worn by generations of locals.
Experience the nostalgic charm of Fenghuang Ancient Town, immersing yourself in its tranquil ambiance. Take a leisurely stroll, cruise along the Tuojiang River, and explore key attractions like the Former Residence of Shen Congwen, renowned for the novel "Border Town." Marvel at landmarks such as Rainbow Bridge, East Gate Tower, and Wanming Pagoda.
In the afternoon, return to Zhangjiajie City for transfer to the airport or train station for your onward journey. Your tour concludes here!
